Heating Up
Last night was the last day of summer. I had a lot of fun but I don't really remember much. So today is the start of the grind. School starts in a week but 25k hands a week shouldn't be too much of a problem with this new motivation method I have. I got a lot of hands in today although I felt like I didn't play my A+ game. Playing 4000 hands a day can be a little straining especially only 6 tables at once. There are a lot of times there would be tilt and bad plays. I am trying to split my sessions into 2-3 sessions so I can be more convenient with time. I really liked how Cole does his blog so I am going to try to analyze hands and show some results. I really would like appreciate comments. Here are today's results and some of the big pots I played,

The guy was a huge fish and he called super fast on the flop. So when the turn gave me a great draw, I decided to double barrel and steal the pot. He still called me down and when I made my hand on the river, he still decided to go broke with top pair really bad kicker.

He squeezed on me about 4-5 times in a row and I decided to make a stand. I am still experimenting with this play since you will have to get caught a few times to be profitable. He timed down and called me. I will do that often with bigger hands also since people love to squeeze way too often.

This guy was just bitter at me. He is a decent regular but my god. I was timing everything perfect with him and he was just very very frustrated with me. He stacked off very very light here.

He was tilted alright.

I was pretty suspicious of the flop raise. The guy is a pretty bad aggressive player and tt was too small with all those draws. Unless he was trying to sucker me in hardcore. Once the turn comes, I was about 99% sure my hand is best. I call to let him bluff the river.

Some people are just outright terrible.
I have been experimenting with a lot of more higher level thinking play such as check raising bluff river, overbetting as a bluff, and trying to really really improve my hand reading ability. I feel like at the middle stakes level, a lot of people love to pot control and value. To counter those, I am able to throw in a lot of check raises and overbets as bluffs. Its pretty cool and I have been pretty successful so far. Alright I need to head to sleep now. I am planning to play about the same amount tomorrow while my buddies at Indiana are in classes.
