Welcome to New York City

Julian and I drove up to New York City a couple of day early to get Sven to his flight. The drive up there was fine and dandy until I got very tired and Julian had to take over. Then we got stuck at the Lincoln Tunnel for about 2 hours and we were almost out of gas. We had to put the car on neutral and roll down the hill while waiting in the tunnel. It would be disastrous if we ran out of fuel in the tunnel. Thankfully, it didn't run out. Since Gaucho was playing in the live game, we decided to go to my friend, Ross, and meet up with him. We also found two of our high school buddies in NYC lost and robbed of 10 thousand dollars by some guy with a shot gun. We hanged out with them for a while and met up with gaucho at a bar. It was the grand opening of this bar called Forum. It was pretty cool. It was one of Gaucho's law school friend. He decided not to take BAR exam and bought a bar to run. I thought it was really cool. Second night, since Gaucho was out of town, we just chilled and hung out with Ross and his friends from film school in the NYC. Although I love how everything is run in the city, it is just way too crowded for me. Even in the middle of the night, the roads are so crowded with people and car. People are also very very rude.
Julian, Gaucho and I drove up to East Hampton yesterday. Our house is very nice and it is very peaceful. The weather is very nice unlike Vegas. Yesterday, we went to the party of one of the top trader in the world from Deutsche Bank. The party is mostly adults but it was fun to meet such successful people. Way back from the party, we almost hit a cop car and we weren't very sober. The cop yelled out of his window to get the fucking parking ticket off my window. Since the internet is pretty bad in the house, I am really trying not to play too much poker. I sit by the pool and just relax my troubles away

The End is Near

It is finally coming to an end. Two days ago, I finally got to my final city. New Orleans. I was here during last year Madi Gras and it is one of my favorite series. The weather is very similar to Burma and so is the food. Gumbo and Jabilaya are two of my most favorite dish ever. I also love deep fried seafood. It reminds me of home so much. We went to Pat Os 2 nights ago and I had about 3 hurricanes in 30 minutes. I was pretty much gone from there. We went to the piano bar and it was pretty fun. One of the things I most like about my trips were the people. A lot of them are very nice and welcoming towards me even though we are not close friends. They let me stay at their house, treated me very well and showed me around town and their culture. It was very nice meeting everyone. I felt like I have become better friends with all of them. Another thing I loved about traveling to all these states is the food. I was able to taste many different type of cuisine and eat at many famous and fancy restaurants. It did cost a lot of money but it was definitely well worth it. Tomorrow I am going to be heading back home and driving up to NYC to meet with Gaucho and go along to the hampton. I am only home for 2 days but I really can't wait for some home food.

Life Beats

So I ended up playing cards all night long. I went to sleep at around 830 am and woke up at 93oam to get ready to go the airport. I arrived at the airport at 1030am and my flight was at 1115am. So we had about 45 minutes. The airport was terribly crowded. People were all in the wrong lines and such. We were stuck at the check in line for about 15 minutes. After a long security gate check point, we got to our gate at around 11am. The plane was apparently already fully boarded and we are going to be left out. Are you shitting me? So United Airline told us to go to American Airline and try to catch the flight to New Orleans. So we go and wait at the American Airline ticket lines for 20 minutes and got stand by tickets. When we got to the security check point, they said we were special and we were brought up to the front of the line. Then they told us they padded down and search me as I was a terrorist. I was pretty upset. We waited for an hour for the flight only to find out there are no space on the plane. Now i am stuck here in St Louis for a day and I have a flight to catch at 7am. Sigh. Well on the bright side, i actually took a shot at 25/50 again last night and actually won. I didn't win much but last few times, it wasn't pretty. Me and a couple of Zach's friend went and saw Princess's Bride tonight. I thought it was interesting in the fact that I have never seen old movies play in theaters. I have approximately slept for 4 hours last 40 hours and I am totally exhausted. Hopefully, i will wake up on time and catch the plane this time.

St.Louie

You can find me in St. Louie where the gun play ring all day. Some got jobs and some sell ye.
Others just smoke and fuck all day. St. Louis was fun. Zach had a house all by himself since his roomies are not here yet. We just sat around and play video games like good old times. We went to a bar where Margo works at. So we could drink a little bit easier without being have to worry about the age. I had a good time and we all were pretty wasted. I actually came home and played drunk poker at my regular stakes. I played for like 20 minutes and realized it was absolutely retarded. I think I broke even for the session. We are heading out to New Orleans today to meet up with Julian. As for poker, I had a pretty good week in St. Louis. Broke even from Chicago and Oklahoma and probably up a little bit. But I think I have been taking shots again at the bigger games too much. I really need to build my roll up decent amount to do that.

We Takin Over

It was nice to finally meet TPayne and Devin in Oklahoma. Congrats Devin for finally getting to 1/2 NL. It was fun in Oklahoma. It was so country. People are all real nice and conservative. It was kinda bad that i went on a pretty bad poker downswing while i was there so it wasn't too pleasant. It is a very peaceful place with nothing much going on, although it is a lot bigger than what I expected. I really thought it was going to be all farms and tractors. We left for Chicago on Thursday with Tyler and Devin. We went to the Cubs game on Friday. It was Sven's first baseball game. It was interesting trying to explain the game of baseball to an unknown. Then we hit up Greg (Kapie123) since he is from around the area. We went and hanged out with him and Mike at Samah. It was some fancy hookah place. I thought it was pretty cool. Next day, we went out to Buffalo Grove to session with Kappie and the grinders. It was fun to see how the 12 tablers and their thought process towards the game. I realized they were very mechanical and very easily exploitable but at lower stakes, their style can be very profitable. I only played for about 2 hours and went to sleep but everyone else played for quite a while. The next day, we went and ate a lot of sushi. It was fun to basically order the whole menu of sushi. Our waiter wouldn't even give us all because he doesn't think we could finish. We finished about 100 sushi between 5 people in about 20 minutes. It was fun. Then we went out to some bar/restaurant and hanged out with Sylvia and a bunch of her friends. It was fun to see people I wasn't really expecting to see for a while, so soon. Today Mike drove us out back to downtown and showed us around town. It was very interesting to city of Chicago. Tonight, we went to The Signature Room at the 95th floor of the John Hancock Tower. It is a restaurant on the 95th floor. It was cool to see the view of Chicago from that high. The food wasn't too great but I enjoyed it. Tomorrow, Sven and I heading out to St. Louis. I am really really regretting I didn't bring a camera. I got 3-4 cameras stuck at home doing nothing.

Enjoying San Fransisco

Sven and I have been in San Fransisco visiting Marcello. San Fransisco is a beautiful city. I never knew the city was on the hills. First day, we went sight seeing around town. Second day, I get to meet Marcello's and his family. Marcello's family have their restaurant open on Independence Day so they were busy the whole day. Then we went to Marcello's girlfriend house for Independence Day BBQ. It was fun and the food was delicious. It is also one of the rare time I see adults drunker than me so it was pretty cool. We went to see Tranformer later in the night. I really liked the movie. The robots in CGI are so well defined and so beautiful. It looks a lot better than cartoons for sure. Today is the last day I am here since Marcello is going to dental school tomorrow and going to be taking a break from poker for a while. Sven and I are heading to Oklahoma to see the south side of the United States and go see Devin and Tyler.

Back in Santa Barbara

Being back in Santa Barbara after Vegas was like coming from hell to a paradise. The weather is so nice here unlike Vegas. First day, since Julian's house wasn't ready, we had to stay at a hotel. When we walked into the first room, we were all dead tired after driving from Vegas at midnight. There was this horribly unpleasant smell. It was so bad since we were all tired. We passed out and the smell didn't go away. It later turned out to be cat piss. So we got a room change. We went out to eat Thai food later that day. That was delicious. Next night, Julian's house was almost ready so we decided to stay. Since there were only two beds, and there are 3 people, Me and Sven decided to flip a coin for it. Obviously I lost and ended up on the floor and couch. I also decided to get spring broadband card for my computer. It is definitely the bomb. You get about 560 kbps which is 10x the dial up. It was only a few years ago 560kbps is the highest internet speed you can get. It does cost 60 dollars a month but whatever. I will deal with it. Today, I am heading out to San Francisco to meet up with Marcello. I am staying there till Friday and hitting up Tyler at Oklahoma on Saturday.
