Protest In Burma

Finally things might be turning around in the country. Thousands and thousands of Buddhist monks has led a peaceful protest against the current government in Burma. This is the biggest protest since about 18 years ago when there was a student protest. It was very ugly. A lot of protesters were killed or jailed. It is very hard for the government to interfere with the monks since Burma is a very religious country and monks are the most well respected members in the country. Hopefully more people will follow the monk lead and join the protest because the military government have to go. It has been too long and country has sunk in every level badly in the last decade. An ordinary person makes about 10-15 dollars a month and we have Mercedes and BMW on the street every where. The gap in the low class and high class is unreal. A pound of chicken costs about 2 dollars in Burma now. With 10 dollars a month, that is 20% of the monthly wage. Its just unreal. I heard a lot of celebrities have joined in. I really hope people don't get hurt because I think if the protest keep getting bigger, they might use the military an open fire

Weekly Update

Things are going along well. It seems like I always run hot in the beginning of the week and end of the week. The middle of the week has been a grind just like always. But I feel like I have been playing well. I finally recovered from the blackjack losses I had about 10 days ago.

Here are some of the gem hands from last week:
http://www.pokerhand.org/?1510623
Villian here is a regular and keep constantly raising my blind and I have been reraising him with a very wide range of hands and he seems to be pretty frustrated. This time i felt like he might 4 bet me preflop so I just called with 97hh in the blinds. Because of how deep we were I floated him with an inside straight draw and luckily I hit my inside straight and he stacked off pretty light with AA.

http://www.pokerhand.org/?1510625
Here i raised with QT from the button after a few limpers and every called. On the flop of KJ8, one of the callers led out around 2/3 of the pot into 4 people. That is a very strong play and i was very sure he has a very strong hand. I called hoping to hit my straight draw. When i hit the turn and he mashes pot, I was 100% sure he has two pair or set and I overshoved with my straight and he called with top two.

http://www.pokerhand.org/?1510626
The guy in this hand is a complete fish. He plays about 50/3/1 game. Very passive. When I flopped a flush draw and he led, i was sure he has a v v strong hand since he doesn't really ever lead. On the turn, i also got an open ended straight draw and he bets very strongly again. I would just fold the naked flush draw on the turn but with extra outs I called. On the river I made my straight and he stacked off with his AK which he rivered top two pair.

Hands like this made me laugh because it just shows how regulars have no respect to my bets and raises.

I am a diamond in the dirt that aint been found

Sometimes I feel like I complain too much. I seem to whine when i lose a pot. I see to whine when i lose a coin flip. I go to depression and think i am the unluckiest man in the world and such. I have been a solid winner at basically all stakes I play. There aren't that many of them around these days. I see so many people playing bad and get 5bb/100 for like 25-30k. It is kinda sick. So I finally got all my hands on this computer to load on to PokerEV and see how bad I run. I think it is really funny. I have seen graph where the green is above the red by quite a lot over 100k hands. I have seen graphs where they are exactly the same as it should be. Mine is just gross. Maybe I need to play better I don't really know. I used to play about 15k-20k hands most each month but now i am logging like 60k. I really can't wait till the day the green line and red line are the same because it will happen. I remember BldSwtTrs just laughs at people when they post 100k hand sample of hands. It really says nothing about the player he said. Apparently 400-500k is like a good size sample. So we will see after 400k hands.

Playing bad :-(

I don't know what to do. I need to remember flush draw is not the nuts against a check raise. The guy was very passive preflop and check raise me big on J 9 2 2 hearts board. I decided to repot him and get it in. I don't know whether it is the correct play or not. I guess it is not that bad but sigh.

Weekly Update

This week wasn't too good. I started out very hot then tailed off towards the end. I had a 10k break even which is fairly standard these days. I would say there are about 3-4 10k breakeven at least every 100k hands.

Depression and Suicide Watch

WTF? thats 10 buy ins at 2/4. I see people show me these after 3-5 buy ins. My god. I haven't won 80/20 preflop in so long. ARG. I would still have an Ok month if it wasn't for BJ. I am like even now.

Tilted

My head is about explode. Can't beat top pair shit kickers with overs and flush draws. Q8s is the nuts for some people. 25/12 keeps "squeezing". I keep thinking he cant have hands every time and he has hands every time. ARG@

Poker>Blackjack

I don't really want to be reminded of what happened last night. It was a terrible decision and it is one of the biggest leaks I have. I will make sure it will never happened ever again. As for poker, I have been basically cruising and killing it. So many players at the 2/4 NL levels have so many big leaks. It is kind of funny. I am by far superior to all the regulars at the level especially on Ultimate Bet. This is since September 9th.

http://www.pokerhand.org/?1472301
I just felt he was v strong the whole way for some reason. Esp when he bets big when i checked to him on the turn. Normally I might check raise and get it in on the turn. The player is a pretty passive regular. When I hit my flush on the river, I went along with my plan of checking again and representing weakness.
http://www.pokerhand.org/?1472298
Here is about 10 minutes later against the same opponent in the sb to bb confrontation again. This is the first time he has 3 betted me in a long time. As much as I want to 4 bet and get it in, I decided to see a flop with the intention of getting in a low flop. I flop the nuts and check to him with the intent of check raising all in but I was surprised when he checks back. Turn was a perfect card. Jack. AK made a straight and if he has a hand like JJ he made a boat himself and he could have AA or KK still so I just led strong. As he raised me, I knew he has at least AK and I shoved.
http://www.pokerhand.org/?1472303
This is the exact same spot as the previous hand 5 minutes later. I raise out of the sb with QQ again and the same player 3 bets me. I felt he was frustrated from the last 2 pots so I decided to 4 bet. I was hoping he shoves hands such as AQ, JJ, TT, 99 and such. I was surprised when he called. When the flop comes low, i took about 5 secs to check it to him. I am not really worry about too many free cards and he gladly shoved the flop with JJ and I instant called him. He left the table immediately after.
http://www.pokerhand.org/?1472320
This player is one of the most passive player in 2/4 games. He is a semi regular. I called with 33 with the intent of flopping a set or taking the pot away if he checks. When he led strong on a 9 7 3 two diamonds flop. I felt like he had an overpair. I raised big as he gladly shoved his jacks and stacked off.
http://www.pokerhand.org/?1472323
Here I 3 bet with TT against a sb open from bb. He INSTANT 4 bets me without much though. He is an aggressive regular and against them, I will gladly get in with TT preflop. I was kinda upset after seeing the board since AK and AQ made it home and i was relieve to see him show 99.
http://www.pokerhand.org/?1472332
One of the main leaks a lot of people have is calling reraises with speculative holdings such as QJ off. He decided that I have nothing and closed his eyes and shoved the flop. Luckily, I had a set and he held with his top pair gutter.
http://www.pokerhand.org/?1472338
This is a pot against a very aggressive regular. I decided to reraise pre since his raising range was so loose and decided to follow up on both flop and turn. If he just have a queen, the turn bet is great since it will leave him in such ugly spot. He can either pray and shove saying I have air. But i think he folds out a lot of hands that would look up one street.

I hate blackjack

So I decided to do some flips with some huge fish who was shoving every hand. He shoved first hand and i called with q7 and he has TT and he proceeds to cheat and folded the next hand. I get mad and went and played blackjack and proceeded to lose 7000. Now i am depressed and won't be playing poker for a while

Weekly Update

I was only able to get in half the hands i got in last week this week. I wasn't feeling well majority of the week so it is not so bad. I was able to get in around 10k hands on the laptop and 1500 hands on the desktop. I ran at around 4ptbb/100 for about 4kish. Here is the graph from my laptop. Also i am going to stop totally playing poker in my bedroom. This room is the reason i am playing 2/4 and not 50/100. The heat generates from the laptop totally makes the room steam. And thus makes me steam and tilty.

Poker Break

it might just be because I haven't been feeling so well but I am really worn out from poker. I am going to take a break for a few days. Maybe a few weeks. I know i am getting away from all the goals but when you don't want to play cards and you try to, it is always a bad idea.

Flu Season

Hopefully, i didn't catch a cold but i haven't been feeling too well last 3 days. I have barely played poker. School started too and its a bitch going to school not feeling well. I picked up Madden and Tiger Woods 08 for my 360. I prob should have just gotten it for ps3 but people recommended i get the 360 version. I also got the Nintendo Wii. It seems a lot of fun. Hopefully, I will feel better tomorrow.

Back Home

Finally. Last two times I was back home, I was here for less than 24 hours both times. Hopefully I will settle down a little bit with the traveling and go to class and play poker. I haven't been doing too well in poker lately as I am not motivated and I am always feeling tired and sick. I realized whenever I play in my bedroom, I lose. The room gets really hot from the computer heat and its unbearable when you are losing. Lately, a lot of bad players have been trash talking to me and I cannot stand it. It almost tilts me. Last night, I also made another mistake of playing when tired. I really need to avoid those. And also another thing I need to avoid is bluffing early in the session. It seems like I am prone to bluff badly earlier in the sessions. My sleeping schedule is all messed up again. I don't really know how to sleep anymore. Hopefully I will wake up before day ends and put in a solid session. As for home situation, my family decided it would be the best not to move to Bethesda. Moving process is very difficult and time consuming and Rockville is 5 minutes from Bethesda. We decided we are just going to live here for about a year more till we can purchase a house.

Weekly Update

Well I didn't reach my goal and I am pretty disappointed at myself but it has been a very busy week with a lot of drinking. Last 2 weeks, I had 2 days where I didn't go out and drink. I really love Indiana University and I think I have met some great people here. People are very friendly and I am able to relate to them. If I can get my grades up, I am probably going to go here next semester. Here is how I have done in the last 7 days at 2/4 , 3/6 and 5/10. I had 1 bad losing session while all the other were all winning sessions. I think I played pretty well overall. I really had a tough time with AK. It was my biggest losing hand by far and I don't think I was playing it bad. I had two times where I ran into superior hands such as AA and KK but other than that, it was all coin flips or I was force to fold.

Here is my stats and results from the last 7 days. ( I can't resize the image properly)

Here is the graph
