LA trip report

So gaucho talked me into coming down early Saturday morning to LA . i got the plane tickets at 2am and got on my flight at 8. It was a smooth ride as I slept the whole way. David picked me up from the airport and we went to the beach. The beach was nice and blue and the girls are much better looking than they are here in jew land. We went to commerce as david has to play in the donkament. While he was playing in the donkament, i decided to play some 20/40 NL. The table was pretty soft. Everyone is tight passive at the table but a lot of action were happening because big hands over big hands. Finally, I get 99 in the bb. The middle position raiser who has lost 2 buy ins+ already raises to 180 as 4 other people call and i call from the bb. Flop came down 998 two hearts. I have flopped the stone nuts. I checked to the raiser as the raiser bets 400. Everyone folds to me. I thought about flat calling but i figured he has a big hand since he bets into 5 people so i check raised to 1200. To my surprise, he re-raises to 1500 more. I decided to call the bet as he went all in on the turn for 2500 and i instant called with quads and he has AA. Jamie Gold also came to my table and donked it up pretty badly. He went all in on the river one time with mid pair with no odds of making top pair fold. He pushed like 2k into 12k pot. Surprisingly, the guy was bluffing jamie gold and jamie won the pot. But seriously, why the fuck would you try to bluff a player like jamie gold? Its just suicide.One of the thing Commerce is famous for is treating their customers nicely. They had a menu for food which has 5 pages with all kind of foods and best part it is free. The thing i was befuddled by is the tipping. Players were tipping the dealers and the service people 1 dollar to 2 dollars while I was tipping 5-10 dollars. I guess it is probably +ev to tip less. As the night go on, i got tired and i started to play worse and worse. I watched david get destroyed in cash games beats after beats. It was pretty surreal to see all these pros playing around me. David took more beats the next days and he was pretty depressed. Then i got a call from united airlines that all their flights have been cancelled till tuesday. WTF?? I ended up staying at the wyndem next to commerce for 2 nights. GG 500 dollars. Overall, it was a really fun trip and it gives me a lot of different perspective about other parts of the country. I really liked LA and i am actually starting to consider moving there.
